LO1 - Target Audience

The target audience for Ace magazine would be middle class people and upper middle class in the range of ABC1 demographic, the age for the target audience would be between 25-60+. the sample target audience member would be someone who is male, 34 and is upper class living in a large house in the country with their own tennis court, and this man would be in a higher managerial job or profession and they would be in the social class 'A'.

LO1 - Developed Magazine Names

The Racket
The Racket is my second choice of name for a magazine. This is because it is relatively short and the reader is able to quickly recognises the content of the magazine which is about Tennis. the downfall of this is that it can have different meanings.

Ace
So far 'Ace' will be my chosen name for my magazine, this is because i find that it is short and snappy, and couldn't be mixed up with anything else, most people assume that 'Ace' is related to tennis. Also this name is easy to spell, and also this is not a pre existing popular magazine name.
The downfalls of this name are that is short and also can be confused with the gaming magazine which has the name 'Ace'.

Match Point
The name Match Point i think is good because it is relatively short and snappy, a draw back for this title is that it can be mixed up with other sports and not just tennis.

LO1 - Expanding Magazine Ideas

Tennis
This magazine would be based around the sport tennis. the magazine would include reviews of tennis equipment and other things, eg. comparing new rackets, trainer reviews, community updates, match results. There would be photos throughout the magazine of different shots being played and also the players at the local community club. there would be a range of sections throughout giving the latest information about the sport.

Field Hockey
This magazine would be based around the sport of field hockey, the magazine would include reviews of hockey players, hockey equipment, hockey teams. The equipment reviews would be about new brand coming out, high quality trainers and hockey sticks and also pitch reviews. As well the magazine would include many different photographs of players and there clubs.

Barnsley Local
This magazine would be a community based magazine where each week different articles are wrote about the surrounds area, there would be different sections throughout of the different areas within Barnsley talking about the local news and updates, with restaurant reviews and many other aspects, this magazine would also include many photographs about the local area.
